Frequently Asked Questions

  • Patchwork is the fun craft of cutting up fabric - new or reclaimed - and sewing it back together to create something else, such as a quilt, homeware item, clothing item, artwork, jewelry or anything else you can think of.

  • No! You can make anything you desire, such as pillow cases, bags and purses, wall hangings, art pieces etc. Patchwork is different from dressmaking in that we usually only use plain natural fiber fabrics such as quilting cotton or lawn and we don’t use stretch fabrics.

  • Yes you will need to bring your own machine, unless you are hand-piecing. However, if you are new to patchwork or don’t currently have access to one, please get in touch as I can provide a loan machine for you to use in class time.

  • You can reach us anytime via our contact page or email. We aim to respond quickly—usually within one business day.

  • Collaborative, fun and relaxed. I want you to focus on the joy of learning the process and accomplishing your goal. You will acquire new skills and meet likeminded friends, all while exploring your own unique sense of creativity.

  • We are not a full retail store so you will need to bring everything with you. If you are unsure what to bring, don’t hesitate to get in touch and we can give you a needs list and direct you to suppliers.
