Learn to Sew with Confidence After School!
Join our fun Wednesday After School Sewing Class with Julie and learn the basics of sewing in a relaxed, supportive studio.
This beginner class is perfect for ages 10-17. Students work at their own pace to create different projects each week while building real sewing skills they can use for life.
Projects For 4 Weeks:
Drawstring Bag – Learn straight seams, casings, and make your own drawstring ties
Piped Cushion with Envelope Back – Add piping for a polished edge and create a simple envelope opening. No zips needed!
Cosmetic Bag with Frill – Add a cute frill, insert a zip, line your bag, and sew neat, boxed corners
Skills You Will Learn:
Accurate cutting and fabric preparation
Straight stitching, pivoting, and neat seam finishes
Pressing for a tidy, professional result
Making and inserting piping
Sewing and inserting a zip
Adding lining and decorative frills
Sewing boxed corners for 3D structure
Making and threading drawstring ties
What Is Included:
All materials included. Sewing machine supplied.
Just bring a packed snack and drink for a 15min break + fresh air halfway through.
Supervision: All children are supervised. Students can be dropped off for class and collected after class.
Come along, meet other young makers, and leave each week with a new skill and a new project to take home.
