Build Your Skills + Make 2 Practical Projects

Join our Monday Intermediate Sewing Class and take your sewing to the next level with Julie in a relaxed, supportive studio.

This class is perfect if you have done a beginner course or already know the basics and want to build confidence with garment sewing and structured projects. You will work at your own pace and create 2 practical projects over the 4 weeks.

  • Learn to create a strong tote with neat seams and comfortable straps.

  • Fabric Type: Cotton canvas, quilting cotton, or other medium-weight fabrics. Nothing too light.

  • Fabric Amount: 60cm of 152cm wide fabric, or 115cm wide fabric

Pull-On Skirt or Wrap Linen Skirt with Waist Tie - Pattern Not Provided

  • A comfortable, wearable skirt with an elastic waist. Great for learning garment fit and finishing.

  • Fabric Type: Cotton, cotton types, linen, rayon and blends

  • Fabric Amount: Pull-On-Skirt - 1m of 152cm wide fabric, or 1.3m of 115cm wide fabric

Skills You Will Build:

  • Accurate cutting and fabric preparation for garments and bags

  • Neat straight stitching, pivoting, and seam finishing

  • Pressing techniques for a professional finish

  • Creating and attaching straps and handles

  • Measuring, cutting, and sewing an elastic waist

  • Hems and finishing for garments and bags

  • Fitting and adjusting projects to suit you

Everything is provided for you:

Sewing machine, tools, interfacing, thread, and elastic are all included in the studio. Just bring your chosen fabric!

Tea and coffee are also provided to keep you comfortable while you create.

Work at your own pace in a small group. Julie will guide you step-by-step, so you finish the 2 new projects and the confidence to tackle more at home.

Happy Sewing!
