Create an Eclectic Set of 9 Bowls Using 9 Different Methods of Decoration
Take your pottery skills to the next level in this creative 3 week hand building workshop + glazing night.
Designed for students who have little or experienced clay experience, as this workshop is all about exploring surface decoration while creating a beautiful collection of functional pottery.
Over three weeks you will hand build nine unique slab & slump bowls, creating three bowls each session while learning nine different decorating techniques. Experiment with carving, texture, stamping, slip decoration, mishima on wet & bisque, sgraffito, water etching and other creative methods to give every bowl its own personality and style.
In the fifth week, finish your bowl on Glazing Night, where you will glaze your entire collection based on what you have learnt over the course and select colours to your liking.
By the end of the workshop you will have a stunning eclectic set of nine handcrafted bowls, a portfolio of decorative techniques and the confidence to incorporate them into all your future pottery projects.
You will also receive your clay license to use our studio during drop-in session.
