Sew + Create: Make 3 Mini Drawstring Bags!

Join us for a fun and creative School Holiday Kids Sewing Workshop with Julie!
This beginner-friendly class is perfect for ages 7 - 17. No experience needed! In one session students will learn basic sewing skills and go home with 3 Mini Drawstring Bags they made themselves.

What You Will Make:  

3 Mini Drawstring Bags – Choose your own fabrics and decorate with fun trims, braids, and ribbon + cord drawstrings. Perfect for gifts, party favours, storing treasures, or tucking into a backpack.

Skills You Will Learn:

• Fabric basics: Choosing and preparing fabrics for small bags

• Cutting skills: Measuring and cutting accurately

• Machine sewing: Safe use of a sewing machine, straight seams and neat finishing

• Decorating: Adding fun trims, braids, and details to personalize your bags

• Casing technique: How to sew a casing for drawstrings

• Drawstring skills: Threading both ribbon and cord drawstrings neatly

• Pressing: Why pressing as you go makes a better result

• Julie will guide students step-by-step, so everyone finishes with 3 completed bags and the confidence to sew more.

What Is Included:  

• All materials included. Fabric, trims, braids, ribbon, cord, and thread supplied.  

• Sewing machine provided.

Please bring a snack & drink for a 15min break & fresh air halftime.
