Explore textile art through fabric collage, watercolour painting, machine stitching foundations, and free motion “drawing with thread” to create your own mixed media artworks, cards and bookmarks.
Join our Beginner Textile Art class and learn the basics of textile collage + stitching with Julie in a relaxed, hands-on studio. No experience needed - just curiosity and a love of texture and colour.
Learn composition + layering with fabric and found materials, get confident on the sewing machine, then drop the feed dogs to add texture and line with free motion stitching. Add paint, yarn, and trims to complete original pieces you can mount or frame at home.
Please bring a snack & drink for a 15min break & fresh air halftime.
Note: All children are supervised and can be dropped off for workshops and collected after class.
